‘They Dared to Challenge’ Readings by Barry Feely & guest Frank Shouldice


Published & launched in April 2016, They Dared to Challenge is a fascinating, highly detailed account of the revolutionary period (1914 -1922) with photographs and drawings depicting many of the key events. From local and national archival sources, personal contacts and unrivalled local knowledge, Barry has put together a unique record of events in Boyle during a crucial period in Irish history. Barry will be joined by dramatist, writer and director, Frank Shouldice who will be reading from his book, Grandpa the Sniper.

This event will be preceded at 5pm for the unveiling of the 2016 Centenary Plaque at Boyle Courthouse
