The Moylurg Writers Group has a history that stretches from 1985 and is probably the longest running group of its kind in the country. From the start they focussed on fostering the development of new storytelling. In order to do this, they aimed to create an encouraging and welcoming atmosphere for new writers, and anyone interested in writing.
They meet twice per month in the Moylurg room in Boyle library and new members are always welcome. It’s a place where ideas flourish, narratives come to life, and writers of all backgrounds find encouragement and inspiration. To date they have published six collections of stories.
