Boyle Traditional Singers Circle are delighted to welcome Caitríona Ní Cheannabháin, a native Irish speaker and sean-nós singer from Ard East, Carna, Co. Galway, as their special guest at this year’s event for Boyle Arts Festival.
Born into the renowned musical Canavan family, she grew up surrounded by song and music, with her father Michael a celebrated sean-nós singer and musician.
Caitríona has performed across Ireland and abroad with artists including The Dubliners, Seán Keane, Daniel O’Donnell and Derek Ryan, and has featured widely on TG4 and RTÉ. Her voice has also appeared in film and television, including Poitín and Harry Became a Tree.
A recording artist and respected teacher of sean-nós singing, Caitríona continues to share her songs, stories and rich musical heritage with audiences everywhere.
