We are so excited to have Music Generation Roscommon perform a special pre-festival event again this year, specially created for Boyle Arts Festival 2026!
This year’s show is called “Colours”. The young musicians explored how colour is used in songwriting and its powerful role as a symbolic device that helps define the emotional, visual and thematic atmosphere of songs.
This event is the result of months of collaboration, creativity, and passion. It’s a showcase of emerging Boyle talent and the transformative impact of music education.
Music Generation Roscommon is part of the national Music Generation Ireland programme, funded locally by Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board, Roscommon County Council, Foróige, and TUSLA. Their mission is to provide accessible, high-quality music education to young people in schools, youth services, and community settings across the county.
From original rap with Roma youth groups to performances at Dublin Castle and Darkness into Light, these young musicians are no strangers to big stages—and this performance promises to be no exception.
